My
name is Chris Deister, and I would like to share with you a little
of my background. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.
Even as a youth, I was blessed with a creative imagination and an
eye for precision and fine detail. Those attributes, along with
my interest in healthcare, were key factors in my decision to become
a dentist. I graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas
City Dental School in 1974.
During the next five years, I completed advanced education and
training in a general dentistry residency while in the Army Dental
Corps at Macdonald Army Hospital in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Following
an additional four years in the army, I decided to leave the service
and establish a family practice in Topeka, Kansas. After a rewarding
18 years of caring for patients in Topeka, my wife and I decided
to relocate to Dayton, Ohio to be closer to three of our sons who
were attending college at Cedarville University. In 1997, we established
our practice in a beautiful new facility—Wilmington
Family Dental.
As you may have noticed, both my personal and professional life
is focused on family. My wife Jan, who is a registered dental hygienist,
and I have five sons—Andy, Jacob, Jesse, Joe, and Aaron. Jan
and I have been partners in marriage and dentistry for over 28 years
and are now proud grandparents. We view our relationships with staff
and patients as an extension of our family. In our office, we pride
ourselves on taking time to get to know you, understand your concerns,
perform a comprehensive evaluation of your mouth, discuss your treatment
options, and plan treatment that meets your individual needs while
providing the best dental care possible. We strive to attend to
your dental needs in a highly professional yet comfortable and caring
environment. In other words, we treat patients the way we would
like to be treated—like family. |
