 Jan
Deister, RDH
Jan Deister, RDH, was born in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated
from the University of Missouri, Kansas Dental School in Dental
Hygiene. It was there she met and married her husband, Chris
in 1973. She practiced dental hygiene while her husband finished
dental school and his commitment to the U.S. Army before returning
to Kansas to start their own dental practice. Her professional
career was put on hold for a few years when she devoted her
time, love, and talents to raising five wonderful sons. Although
she has several hobbies, her passion in life is her family.
Presently, she has one son at home and is a grandmother to a
grandson and a granddaughter. In addition to her responsibilities
as wife, mother, and grandmother, Jan also practices dental
hygiene, spends countless hours decorating the office for holidays
and changing seasons and making people feel at home at Wilmington
Family Dental. |

Theresa
Deaton, RDH, BS
Theresa Deaton, R.D.H., B.S., has been with our practice since 2001 and possesses a diverse expertise in the field of dentistry. Theresa began her career as a dental lab technician (fabricating crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.) and then moved into the area of chair side dental assisting. Her love for the profession continued as she received an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene at Sinclair Community College. While employed full-time as a dental hygienist, she received a Bachelor of Science in Health Professions degree from the Kettering College of Medical Arts (graduating Summa Cum Laude). Additionally, Theresa continued her education and earned a license as an E.F.D.A. (Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary) which enables her to place restorative materials. Theresa has earned the respect of her peers and colleagues as a highly skilled clinician and contributes to the education of future dental hygienists and EFDA's as an adjunct faculty member in the dental hygiene department at Sinclair Community College. Combined with an impressive educational and clinical background, Theresa possesses a delightful personality and genuine desire to assist you and your family in achieving optimal dental health. She is dedicated to providing the best dental care possible and is eager to address your oral health concerns and questions. |

Jessica Pollard
Jessica grew up in Arcanum, Ohio, graduating from Franklin Monroe
High School. She is currently furthering her education at Sinclair
Community College pursuing a career in dental hygience. Jessica
has three years experience as a dental and business assistant.
She joined Dr. Deister's dental team in September 2005. On December
9, 2006, Jessica will be marrying her long time boyfriend, Ross
Farling. They currently attend Patterson Park Church. Her "joy"
is spending time with family and friends who play a very important
part in her life. Jessica loves people. She enjoys talking with
our patients and providing tender, professional care during
dental procedures. |

Nancy
Scroggins
Nancy has been an administrative assistant at Wilmington Family Dental since 2001. She is responsible for numerous areas of office management involving finances, insurance and human resources. She aids patients with external options of financing their dental treatment. Nancy furthered her education at Northern Kentucky University, Moody Bible Institute, Kettering College of Medical Arts and Sinclair Community College. She enjoys teaching classes at her church where her husband has been Senior Pastor for over 25 years. She is passionate about her responsibilities as an Awana commander as she disciples children. She travels to see her grown children who live out of state with their spouses (Matthew & Jenny in Florida) (Megan and Luke in Texas). Nancy loves animals and especially enjoys playing with her two dogs. |

Debby Martin
Debby was born in Stuttgart, Germany while her father was in the U.S. Army, but she has lived in Ohio since age 4 and now lives in Bellbrook with her husband, Bill. Debby graduated from University of Dayton with two bachelor degrees in Vocational Home Economics and Secondary Education Home Economics. She taught in the Dayton Christian School system from 1979-2006, taking off several years to raise her two wonderful daughters, Sarah and Lauren. In 2006, Debby joined our staff as a dental assistant. Her cheerful voice, personable manner, and gift of hospitality combined to make her a perfect fit to be the office receptionist. Debby is our first face forward here at Wilmington Family Dental, where she enjoys making patients feel welcome and comfortable. Outside of the office, Debby enjoys reading and expressing her creativity through her cooking, basket weaving, and chair caning. |

Teressa Drenth
Teressa is a resident of Bellbrook where she lives with her husband, Howard and her three teenage children, Tyler, Chris and Olivia. In the span of her 19 year marriage to Howard, she has lived in several different parts of the country, including Florida, New Jersey and Indiana. However, their family is glad to have finally settled here in the Midwest. Teressa has several years of patient care and office management experience in the medical field. Teressa joined our practice as a dental assistant in 2008 and possesses outstanding qualities that are essential in dental assisting-she is personable, caring and organized. She loves talking with patients to understand their needs and educating them in order to provide the best patient care possible. |

Cassi Johnson
Cassi, who comes to Wilmington Family Dental from a large family background of 6 siblings, was born in Xenia, OH and spent most of her growing up years in Beavercreek, OH. She attended Beavercreek High School and graduated from a home school program in 2007. Cassi has furthered her education by attending numerous continuing education courses. She is a highly skilled dental assistant and trusted with numerous critical office functions. She finds great pleasure in making patients smile and providing high quality patient care. Cassi enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Jeremy of 2 1/2 years and her Papipom puppy "Foxy". |
